Assists non-minor dependents make a successful transition to independence with a focus on work, educational development, housing arraignments, health awareness, independent living skills, and the development of permanent connections with family and services in the community.

Northern California Family Center

Provides outpatient counseling services, specializing in the treatment of children in families, as well as individual and couple counseling for problems that may include behavior disorders, school avoidance, abuse, family conflicts, marital conflict, depression and adjustment problems. Crisis counseling for adolescent runaways, homeless and at-risk youth. Mediation for these youth and their families. Provides emergency shelter for youth open 24 hour, 7 day a week. Recruits, trains and certifies foster families, who provide conventional foster care for children referred from Social Services in Contra Costa, Alameda and Solano counties.
