Promotes the independence, equality and self-reliance of people who are blind or visually impaired through rehabilitation training and relevant services, such as access to employment, education, government, information, recreation, transportation and the environment. To become a client of Lighthouse services, individual must attend a attend a LightHouse Orientation to Services and scheduling a one-on-one meeting with a social worker. This meeting is to determine the goals of the individual, and which LightHouse or community services will best help the client meet those goals.
