Services include: multilingual, multicultural women's program, children's program, intensive case management, individual and group support, fun activities, provision of necessities, and connections to outside resources. The average stay for AWS residents is 12 weeks months with possible extended time. The shelter location is confidential.

Safe Refuge for Children + Families is a faith-based organization that recruits its volunteers through churches. These local churches support the families hosting the children of the families in crisis. The Safe Refuge volunteer host families are screened (background checks, home studies, training, etc.) and approved to be safe. This is a voluntary program and the families in crisis always retain all of their parental rights and custody.
