Youth Shelters | Safe Place - Runaway & Homeless Youth Line - Northern California Family Center

Provides hotline runaway and homeless youth offering shelter options, mediation, information and referral, and phone or in-person counseling. Provides free, immediate help to youth ages 0-17, including immediate housing in a foster home, crisis counseling, family mediation, transportation and referrals. Center is a Safe Place site. If a longer stay is needed, the youth would likely be placed in a foster home for shelter. SAFE Place is not a long-term shelter.

Offers emergency residential shelter to battered women and their children while providing counseling, family-based services and referrals. Also operates two 24-hour crisis phone lines. Hotlines are available statewide. The emergency shelter is open to anyone regardless of residence.

Provides shelter and counseling for battered women and their children. Counseling for survivors of sexual assault, molestation, and domestic abuse is also provided at the Community Building. Answers a 24-hour crisis phone line for domestic violence survivors, victims of sexual assault or molestation. Line is open to anyone in a threatening or abusive environment and who are not in immediate physical danger. Operates a restraining order clinic and a food pantry for needy families. Provides temporary shelter for homeless families in a safe, supportive environment including a shelter for single fathers with kids.

Provides long term progressive program for single women or mothers with children. Clients may stay up to one year, time may be extended, program is Christian oriented (nondenominational) counseling referrals and spiritual guidance available for clients.

Provides safe, confidential housing for survivors of domestic violence and trafficking. Services include: multilingual, multicultural women's program, children's program, intensive case management, individual and group support, fun activities, provision of necessities, and connections to outside resources. The average stay for AWS residents is 12 weeks months with possible extended time. The shelter location is confidential.

Domestic Violence Shelters | A Safe Place

Provides shelter/services for battered women or battered women with children up to the age of 18 who are in danger and have no other resources. Services include legal assistance including obtaining restraining orders, counseling, and assistance in locating housing and employment. The maximum length of stay is 90 days. Non-shelter clients can make an appointment to see a domestic violence crisis counselor.

Provides a 24-bed space shelter for victims of domestic violence or intimate partner violence with or without children. Offers supportive programming on-site to all residents which includes domestic violence support group, parenting group, vocational/life skills and community meetings. Provides age-appropriate and trauma-informed programming for children as well.
