Offers child kidnapping prevention, missing children location assistance, runaway/homeless youth helplines, specialized information and referral and conflict resolution. Provides professional services to defuse family conflicts that can lead to abduction and abuse such as: crisis intervention, conflict resolution, safety planning, and communication/parenting skill-building.

Provides human trafficking prevention education and outreach and provides crisis intervention for victims of human trafficking.

Provides in-school violence prevention programming and develops peer leadership at all grade levels, through classroom-based services delivered over multiple sessions, and also in ongoing, gender-specific small groups. Age-appropriate topics range from bullying prevention and safe touching, to bystander education, to dating violence, sexual assault and sexual exploitation. Offers self-defense training for women and girls. The Prevention team also works with college campuses to prevent sexual violence, and is available for community training on these topics.

Offers a national, toll-free hotline, available to answer calls, texts, and chats from anywhere in the country, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, every day of the year. The Hotline is a program of Polaris, a non-profit, non-governmental organization working exclusively on the issue of human trafficking. The Hotline is not a government entity, law enforcement, or an immigration authority.
