Produces and distributes "Surviving Parenthood", a resource directory of information and support services in Contra Costa County. The Baby Bag Project, which distributes tote bags filled with information for new parents to participating facilities and home visiting groups throughout Contra Costa County. Any person or organization can also request the baby bag.

Provides information, written materials and technical assistance to businesses, the disabled community, state and local governments, and individuals interested in the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Offers problem-solving assistance and referrals for implementing the ADA. Conducts community outreach, coordinates and conducts conferences, workshops, training's and presentations. Coordinates the provision of on-site technical assistance. Maintains a technical assistance library. Provides a quarterly newsletter and disseminates ADA materials. Website has extensive resources.

Provides a variety of programs for children and adults with Down syndrome and their families including a parent support group, THRIVE programs with an educational, developmental, and recreational focus for children from infant through young adult. Provides outreach activities and public awareness.

Works to improve and expand services to people with developmental disabilities and their families. Major Council activities include: identifying unmet needs and gaps in services, and working to develop services to meet these needs, providing opportunities for coordination of efforts and services, providing information about community resources and making referrals to appropriate agencies, identifying priorities, offering consultation, technical assistance, and training to agencies, professionals, parents, and the general public, liaison with legislative and governmental entities, publishing bulletins, newsletters, informational & education materials; and serving as an advocate for persons with developmental disabilities and their families.

Provides information, referrals, resources, and follow-up services to assist families and caregivers impacted by the sleep-related death of an infant under 12 months in Contra Costa County. Offers community educational activities, expands awareness about SIDS/SUID and safe sleep recommendations. The program may be available to provide trainings on safe sleep to community groups, childcare professionals, health providers, and others.

Provides a food pantry, food gift cards, vouchers for food and vouchers for clothing at St. Vincent de Paul thrift stores (Pleasant Hill and Pittsburg). Offers shower passes to homeless individuals and families in Pleasant Hill which can be used in lieu of cash at American Family Hot Tub. Additionally, provides a home visiting program to provide emotional support, referrals to community programs and budgeting/financial assistance.

Provides domestic violence intervention which consists of crisis and peer counseling, risk assessment, safety planning, domestic violence education, court accompaniment, legal advocacy and referrals, peer support groups and other related support resources for the clients and their family. STAND! has offices in Central, East and West counties, as well as services and shelters at confidential locations. Volunteers are used extensively.
