Provides public health, behavioral health, adult medicine, addiction medicine through Alcohol and Other Drugs program and homeless services.

Works with county mental health as a bridge between the system and explaining to families who are dealing with a family member 18+ and dealing with behavioral health issues. Services include assisting families in navigating the mental health system, answers questions regarding SSI and SSDI problems, benefits questions, rehabilitation programs, day programs, county housing resources, out of the county placements, and medication issues. A child can attend for the full day or just a couple of hours. Provides crisis residential overnight program in which parents can utilize this service for up to 30 days per crisis situation. Offers respite overnight program for parents experiencing stress, or who have used BACN’s services, can visit the Nursery for short-term monthly visits. These visits range from 1-3 days. Also provides food and diaper bank available to all community members in need of food, diapers, and formula. The BACN Boutique is a fully stocked, free boutique filled with children’s furniture, toys, books, clothes, and more for families participating in a program. Eligible parents may be experiencing a crisis or feel overwhelmed by parenting young children, lost their childcare provider or cannot afford childcare services, dealing with unemployment and underemployment, overwhelming parental stress, homelessness, escaping violence, or are suffering from a mental health disorder or physical illness.

Provides course designed to help those who want to learn step-by-step how to apply for American citizenship. Students will also have the opportunity to develop and practice their English language skills specifically in preparation for the naturalization interview. Competency in English at the Intermediate Low II level is required to participate in this class. ESL classes are available to those who do not meet this requirement. Also offers an Introduction to Citizenship Preparation.

Provides routine and preventive health care services including family practice, gastroenterology, gynecology, healthy start, pediatrics, and prenatal care. Also does screening/diagnosis for Hansen's disease (leprosy). Provides specialty medical services in such areas as oncology, audiology, internal medicine, orthopedics and podiatry, additional specialty clinics are listed on website. Care coordinators relay messages to doctors and assist patients with medical concerns. Clients can reach their doctor's care coordinator by dialing backdoor number and leave a message.

Provides housing counseling services, including confidential mortgage default and delinquency counseling to families who are in danger of losing their homes through foreclosure or eviction. Does not provide rental assistance, unlawful detainers, nor filing paperwork for eviction but presents options on how to respond to eviction notices. Offers mediation of tenant/landlord disputes, referrals to tenant organizations, tenant/landlord rights, legal counseling, and fair housing counseling. Serves Antioch, Pittsburg and Bay Point residents only.

Supports child care programs by facilitating and increasing access to care. Family recertifications and eligibility will continue. Provides free services related to child care to parents/guardians and child care professionals in Central Contra Costa County. Services include assistance with finding and selecting child care and family resources, guidance and support applying for subsidized child care, technical assistance to child care professionals, child care needs assessment upon request, and parent education opportunities.

Administers the federal government website which provides information from various government agencies on what bullying is, what cyberbullying is, who is at risk, and how you can prevent and respond to bullying. Coordinates closely with the Federal Partners in Bullying Prevention Steering Committee, an effort led by the Department of Education that works to coordinate policy, research, and communications on bullying topics. Provides bilingual services that support mental health, developmental disabilities, substance use recovery, housing, employment, and reentry programs. Additionally they assist individuals and families with counseling, job training, peer support, and community engagement.

Provides an active social and recreational program for adolescents with special needs, age 11-22 years. To meet the daycare needs of working families, the program operates year-round and services are provided on shortened school days and non-school days. Program hours for regular school days are 2:30-6pm, shortened school days are 1-6pm and on non-school days 9-6pm.

Provides a a virtual service where teens and young adults can get confidential one-to-one support sessions via video, audio or chat from a peer mentor of choice. Mentors are individuals who share clients identity, background, and/or lived experiences, and has been trained to help others going through something similar. Mentors (ages 18-35) come from very diverse backgrounds (over 50% identify as LGBTQ+ and/or BIPOC) and have firsthand experience with a wide range of mental health challenges ranging from anxiety and depression to addiction, trauma, eating disorders, evolving gender/sexual identity and more.
