Adult learner/tutor pairs meet twice a week, for an hour and a half each time at libraries or other public locations throughout Contra Costa County.

Provides EBT cardholders with information about their individual account balances, view transaction history detail, check claim status, and locate retailers and automated teller machines (ATM's) that accept the EBT card. Clients can either call the toll free number or log in to website to check their account.

Provides administration over all Orinda city parks and recreational activities, and community centers including the senior center. A variety of classes are available for older adults including art classes, dance and exercise classes, tours and trips.

Recruits and provides foster family certification to enable families to be eligible to provide a crisis home for youth needing a safe environment for youths, ages 0 to 17, who are experiencing crisis while NCFC counselors work with the youth and family to reunite them, or develop mutually agreed upon alternatives. Also provides Long-term Foster care for children referred by Social Services in Contra Costa, Alameda, and Solano counties. To be eligible, family must possess the ability to relate effectively to and adequately supervise youth, have space to temporarily house one or more young people, possess the ability to be certified by the NCFC as a Foster Family, and pass child abuse and criminal background checks.

Provides oversight to two high schools, three middle schools, eight elementary school, a preschool and an adult education school in the Pittsburg School District. Programs and classes are available for special needs children, ages 0-22; call for information.

Offers pregnancy support, parenting education, child care, life skills education, 12-Step support, relapse prevention and family reunification support.

Provides services for deaf, hard of hearing, deaf-blind and deafened persons, parents of deaf children and people learning sign language or working with the deaf. Services include peer counseling, independent living skills, communication coping skills, interpreter information and referral, employment assistance, and programs for specific populations such as foreign born and seniors.
