Provides advocacy for people with psychiatric and neurological disabilities who are being denied Social Security benefits. Offers education and public awareness to help erase the stigma of psychiatric disabilities by producing training videos, seminars, and workshops. Primarily focuses on advocacy for SSI, Social Security Disability, and disability work incentive programs hearings and appeals.

Provides medically supportive foods, nutrition and cooking classes to families and pregnant/postpartum individuals part of Contra Costa Health plan. Programs include Food as Medicine (for individuals facing diabetes and pediatric obesity), Nourishing Pregnancy, and Cooking Matters.

Provides oversight to two high schools, three middle schools, eight elementary school, a preschool and an adult education school in the Pittsburg School District. Programs and classes are available for special needs children, ages 0-22; call for information.

Offers a variety of dance classes for children. Classes include, cheer, dance, tumble, and ballet. Classes may fill up fast or may be cancelled depending on registration.

Provides administration over all Brentwood city parks and recreational activities, aquatic facilities and community centers. All parks are open from sunrise to sunset. Park restrictions are listed online including special reservations.

Provides a wide range of medical services for individuals at no cost for those without health insurance including primary care and limited physicals, treatment for minor illnesses or injuries, limited medications, non-emergency care requiring treatment from a physician or nurse, information and referral. Offers women's clinic including free pap-smears and breast exams as well as free mammogram referrals. Provides flu vaccines and Covid-19 vaccines including boosters. Transportation to the mobile clinics may be available to patients who reside in area far from the mobile clinics.

Provides referrals to private practicing lawyers in specific areas of the law, as well as local government, consumer, and public service agencies. Trained legal interviewers screen clients to determine the location and language requirements for the most convenient referral possible. If it is determined that a lawyer's advice is recommended, clients are scheduled for a thirty-minute consultation with the appropriate attorney in the area. If a legal consultation is not necessary, clients are referred to an appropriate organization or agency in the area.

Supports child care programs by facilitating and increasing access to care. Services include assistance with finding and selecting child care and family resources, guidance and support applying for subsidized child care, technical assistance to child care professionals, child care needs assessment upon request, and parent education opportunities.

Provides in-school violence prevention programming and develops peer leadership at all grade levels, through classroom-based services delivered over multiple sessions, and also in ongoing, gender-specific small groups. Age-appropriate topics range from bullying prevention and safe touching, to bystander education, to dating violence, sexual assault and sexual exploitation. Offers self-defense training for women and girls. The Prevention team also works with college campuses to prevent sexual violence, and is available for community training on these topics.

Provides gently used toys, games, books and home items. Also provides non-perishable foods, toiletries and diapers. All items are free for individuals and families. Community members can donate items that are gently used.

Provides empowerment to black fathers by providing 12 sessions of evidence based curriculum in a group or one-on-one setting. Sessions focus on fatherhood skills, parenting/relationship skills, self-awareness, and self care.

Provides needs based services which may include; food, utility and financial assistance, and vouchers for clothing that can be used in lieu of cash at St. Vincent de Paul thrift stores for discounted clothing and furniture.

Provides couple's counseling services.

Provides a broad range of individual and group psychotherapy and prescription management services via an outpatient and Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) to adults, facing mild, moderate, and severe psychiatric disabilities. Issues include, depression, bipolar, schizophrenia, anxiety, and relationship conflict concerns.

Offers food, clothing and rent assistance through available grant process when resources allow. Vouchers for furniture are also available for those that can drive to thrift stores located in either Pittsburg or Pleasant Hill.

Offers one-to-one behavioral intervention mental health program. Works in collaboration with children, youth, parents, caregivers, foster parents, group home staff and school personnel to reduce and manage challenging behaviors, as well as strategies and skills to help child and youth in their current environment. Provides children and youth transition assistance to lower levels of care.

Acts as the liaison between a pregnant woman and the services needed to provide the child a healthy start and the mother a healthy pregnancy. Coordinates initial prenatal appointment and referrals to programs for pregnant women i.e. WIC. Makes referrals as needed, offers genetic counseling, prenatal testing, brief counseling on substance abuse issues and community outreach.

Offers free access to career and technical assistance through Brainfuse HelpNow, Skillsoft, Coursera, and LinkedIn Learning.

Provides 15-20 pounds of fresh produce two times per month to qualifying households that are in need of food assistance. Produce is distributed from the Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano Mobile Trucks.

Provides intensive family-centered services to adolescents and young adults showing early signs of psychosis. Clinical High Risk (CHR) program works with young people at risk for or experiencing very early symptoms of psychosis, prior to a first psychotic episode. First Episode Psychosis (FEP) program works with those who have had a first psychotic episode within the past year. Services are designed to support recovery and functioning and to prevent the occurrence of an initial or subsequent episode of psychosis. Offers individual, family and group therapy, care coordination, multifamily groups, employment and education support, occupational therapy, peer support, substance use counseling and psychiatric services.

Provides a wide variety of health care services for women that include free pap smears, breast exams, birth control and STD/HIV testing to all women who qualify.

Provide assistance with completion of applications for MediCal, Cal Fresh, disability for pregnancy, PRUCOL, linkage to SSI, long term disability and referrals to community resources. Offers one-stop center for people affected by domestic violence, sexual assault, elder abuse, child abuse and human trafficking. Center helps people in crisis to find hope, safety, and healing by being a one-stop center where many service providers are readily available including connections to telehealth appointments, mental health counseling and more.
