The employment antidiscrimination provisions of the FEHA apply to public and private employers, labor organizations and employment agencies. “Housing providers” includes public and private owners, real estate agents and brokers, banks, mortgage companies, and financial institutions.

Additionally, provides a home visiting program to provide emotional support, referrals to community programs and budgeting/financial assistance.

Provides hotline runaway and homeless youth offering shelter options, mediation, information and referral, and phone or in-person counseling. Provides free, immediate help to youth ages 0-17, including immediate housing in a foster home, crisis counseling, family mediation, transportation and referrals. Center is a Safe Place site. If a longer stay is needed, the youth would likely be placed in a foster home for shelter. SAFE Place is not a long-term shelter.

Provides needs based services for Pinole residents which may include; utility and financial assistance, and vouchers for clothing that can be used in lieu of cash at St. Vincent de Paul thrift stores for discounted clothing and furniture.

Offers summer sports camp.

Provides comprehensive services for children with disabilities including home-based parent/child intervention, infant/toddler developmental evaluation and early intervention, play therapy for children.

Offers assistance is to help prevent homelessness for households at immediate risk of becoming homeless, once every two years. Program provides limited financial assistance to eligible applicants for housing-related expenses. Assistance may be available for up to one month of rental arrears (back rent) for households that can demonstrate the ability to maintain ongoing housing costs after receiving support. Security deposit assistance may also be available for individuals or families who are relocating due to an unexpected or urgent situation, with requests required to be submitted within 30 days before or after the move-in date. This program does not provide assistance for more than one month of back rent, future or advance rent payments, late fees, or utility bills. Individuals requiring assistance beyond these limitations are encouraged to contact 211 for additional resources.

Provides routine and preventive health care services including family practice, children's practice, healthy start, gynecology, pediatrics and prenatal care, STD testing and treatment, HIV testing. Care coordinators relay messages to doctors and assist patients with medical concerns. Clients can reach their doctor's care coordinator by dialing backdoor number. Patients can access their medical record, make appointments, send messages to providers and view lab results online at www.mychart.cchealth.org. Smartphone application also available.

Waiting list for project based voucher will open March 2, 2026 at 10am and will close March 19, 2026 at 4pm. Some properties are for senior ONLY and some are for families. Applications must be submitted online however, elderly or disabled clients can request reasonable accommodation by telephone, email or in person. Reasonable accommodation requests can be made to the backdoor number.
