Administration for Contra Costa County Housing Authority. Administers Project-based Voucher (PBV) waiting lists. Waiting list for project based voucher will open March 2, 2026 at 10am and will close March 19, 2026 at 4pm. Some properties are for senior ONLY and some are for families. Applications must be submitted online however, elderly or disabled clients can request reasonable accommodation by telephone, email or in person. Reasonable accommodation requests can be made to the backdoor number.

Provides an emergency shelter for homeless individuals age 18-24. Services include food, clothing, crisis intervention, case management and wrap around services such as education and health care. Offers peer-led groups, held weekly on-site. Calli House is located adjacent to Brookside Shelter.

Administers one elementary school, one middle school and two high schools serving Rodeo and Crockett area. Services are available for special needs children, ages 0-22; call for information.

Provides 15 to 20 pounds of fresh produce two times per month to qualifying households that are in need of food assistance. Produce is distributed from the Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano Mobile Trucks.

Provides legal counseling for citizen and naturalization applications, family based petitions and consular processing, adjustments of status and renewals of permanent residency cards, UVisas (Victims of Crime), VAWA (Domestic Violence), DACA (Deferred Action Childhood Arrivals), TPS (Temporary Protective Status) and work permit renewal, Waivers of inadmissibility; and consultations regarding other immigration options.

Provides comprehensive low cost general dental care; fees may be 30-40% lower than those of many private offices in our immediate area. Dental services include fillings, dentures, crowns and bridges, root canals, oral surgery and limited periodontal work. Dental work is performed by students and residents under supervision of the University of Pacific faculty and staff. Services do not include orthodontics, extraction of wisdom teeth or treatment of patients who have had procedures started elsewhere. Oral health screening for each new patient is required.

Provides information and encouragement through telephone counseling and monthly virtual meetings to women who want to breast feed their babies. Prospective members are welcome to attend meetings before joining the organization. Mothers with special circumstances such as mothers of multiple births and mothers of babies with birth defects are offered support and information. Call or check website for dates and times.

Provides needs based services for Pinole residents which may include; utility and financial assistance, and vouchers for clothing that can be used in lieu of cash at St. Vincent de Paul thrift stores for discounted clothing and furniture.

Assists low and/or fixed income people in making their homes more energy efficient. Offers home improvements that will potentially reduce monthly energy costs which includes caulking, weather-stripping doors, repair or replacement of gas water heaters, stoves and/or refrigerators.

Offers summer camps for kids and teens.

Provides technology access for adults and children with disabilities including services that support adults in finding and retaining jobs and creating accessible work environments, with school districts to ensure that children with disabilities have access to assistive technology, including computers, that work for them; with seniors to assist them in the right assistive technology, with the California Department of Rehabilitation to provide computer access evaluations and equipment recommendations to their clients, and with organizations and business to provide creative and cost effective solutions to work site access issues geared toward assisting adults with disabilities in employment situations.

Supports child care programs by facilitating and increasing access to care. Services include assistance with finding and selecting child care and family resources, guidance and support applying for subsidized child care, technical assistance to child care professionals, child care needs assessment upon request, and parent education opportunities.

Operates the Antioch Unified School district's public schools and adult education center. The district has fourteen elementary schools, four middle schools, five high schools, nine alternative schools, three charter schools and an adult education program. Programs and classes are available for special education students; call for information.

Community-based mental health service program for young adults (16-26) living in Western to Central Contra Costa County. Serve's Medi-Cal recipients who are experiencing mental health challenges often in addition to homelessness, substance use issues or histories of trauma and abuse. Services include therapy, case management, living skills support, medication management, participant groups and peer mentoring.  CCTAY works in close collaboration with Contra Costa County Behavioral Health Services.  

LIFT (Learning for Infants and Families Together) team for infants to 3. Provides developmental playgroup which includes facilitated and speech play, structured circle-time, snack-time, outside time, 1-2 home visits per month and case management as needed.

Provides individual counseling, crisis support, and case management.

Provides shelter and counseling for battered women and their children. Counseling for survivors of sexual assault, molestation, and domestic abuse is also provided at the Community Building. Answers a 24-hour crisis phone line for domestic violence survivors, victims of sexual assault or molestation. Line is open to anyone in a threatening or abusive environment and who are not in immediate physical danger. Operates a restraining order clinic and a food pantry for needy families. Provides temporary shelter for homeless families in a safe, supportive environment including a shelter for single fathers with kids.

Provides a wide variety of health care services for women that include free pap smears, breast exams, birth control and STD/HIV testing to all women who qualify.

Offers Housing Choice Voucher Program (Section 8) which provides assistance to help people afford housing that is privately owned. The Housing Choice Voucher (Section 8) program is currently closed to new entries. Clients pay a portion of their income in rent to their landlords and the City of Pittsburg Housing Authority through funding from the Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD) pays the difference.

Provides on-site urgent treatment for acute and chronic medical conditions such as diabetes, asthma, hypertension, cough, cold, and/or sore throat, minor laceration repair, wound care, sprains and muscle strains, urinary tract infections, allergies and sinusitis, ear infections, headache, stomach ache, rashes, poison oak and minor skin infections as well as burns. Offers flu immunization (Nov-Apr). Offers health education for diabetes, hypertension and nutrition. Does not offer women's health services.

Provides referrals to private practicing lawyers in specific areas of the law, as well as local government, consumer, and public service agencies. Trained legal interviewers screen clients to determine the location and language requirements for the most convenient referral possible. If it is determined that a lawyer's advice is recommended, clients are scheduled for a thirty-minute consultation with the appropriate attorney in the area. If a legal consultation is not necessary, clients are referred to an appropriate organization or agency in the area. Clients having a fee dispute with their attorney, must contact the State Bar of California Mandatory Fee Arbitration Program.

Provides a variety of court ordered classes for parents. Topics include self esteem and temperament, communication the family, parenting styles and philosophies, punishment and discipline, positive discipline and positive parenting I and II, co-parenting, moving forward and wrap-up. Certificate available for court directed parents.

Provides a statewide, toll free, 24-hour, confidential phone line available to young people between the ages of 12-24, and concerned friends and family members. Offers crisis intervention counseling on many issues including family problems, sexual assault, eating disorders, teen pregnancy, substance abuse, suicide and more. Provides support, encouragement, and referrals to youth needing assistance or in crisis situations. Website lists resources available for youth.

Provides academics and career readiness, including job application workshops and support, financial literacy workshops, after school tutoring, California High School Exit Exam preparation and support. Offers a full computer lab on-site with staff who provide job search and resume assistance.

Provides prenatal care, pill abortion services, birth control services, emergency contraception, HIV testing, HPV vaccines, LGBT services, men's health services, patient education, pregnancy testing, options & services, STD testing & treatment, and women's health services including breast and cervical cancer exams.
