Recruits and provides foster family certification to enable families to be eligible to provide a crisis home for youth needing a safe environment for youths, ages 0 to 17, who are experiencing crisis while NCFC counselors work with the youth and family to reunite them, or develop mutually agreed upon alternatives. Also provides Long-term Foster care for children referred by Social Services in Contra Costa, Alameda, and Solano counties. To be eligible, family must possess the ability to relate effectively to and adequately supervise youth, have space to temporarily house one or more young people, possess the ability to be certified by the NCFC as a Foster Family, and pass child abuse and criminal background checks.

Provides emergency shelter and interim, non-congregate housing for single adults. In addition to providing basic needs of shelter, shower, food, and clothing, the program includes care coordination and housing location services assisting residents with move-in and short term rental assistance where appropriate. In addition to housing, employment, and clinical support services, the program offers on-site health care services provided by the county and linkages to legal aid and other social and human resource services.

Provides shelter and substance abuse recovery services for women. Services include legal and court assistance, parenting/pregnancy education/support, HIV/AIDS testing and education, job training and support, bible studies, and AA and NA meetings on site. Pregnant women can stay up to a year after the birth of their child.

Provide intensive early intervention services to children 0-3 with autism spectrum disorders. Provides behavioral support services for school aged children and young adults diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders ages 3-22. All services are provided in the child's natural environment, including the child's home, family daycare homes, childcare centers, and other community sites (i.e. parks, library). Maintains a list of Medi-Cal prenatal providers in Contra Costa County. The providers offer an Initial assessment, trimester reassessments, postpartum assessment, interventions and follow-up services in obstetrics, nutrition, health education, psychosocial services, individual case coordination, prenatal vitamin/mineral supplements, and referrals to related services. Offers food, clothing and rent assistance through available grant process when resources allow. Vouchers for furniture are also available for those that can drive to thrift stores located in either Pittsburg or Pleasant Hill.

Provides emergency psychiatric evaluation/treatment to people who present an imminent danger to self, others, grave disability or mental health crisis. Psychiatric emergency facility provides very short-term treatment and observation to individuals with acute behavioral health concerns.

Provides outpatient counseling services, specializing in the treatment of children and families, as well as individual and couple counseling for problems that may include behavior disorders, school avoidance, abuse, family conflicts, marital conflict, depression and adjustment problems, parent child interaction therapy. Counseling also available at Martinez location.
