Provides telephone services where nurses can help to determine medical needs, provide home care advice and medical information. Also provides information on Contra Costa Health Plan authorization and member services. Clients do not need to be CCHP members in order to receive health advice.

Offers employment opportunities and on-the-job-training to the hard-to-employ and those experiencing employment barriers (unskilled, formerly incarcerated, substance abusers, etc). Open enrollment to job training is every six months, call for more information.

If a longer stay is needed, the youth would likely be placed in a foster home for shelter. SAFE Place is not a long-term shelter.

Provides administration over all city parks and recreational activities, aquatic facilities and community centers. All parks are open from sunrise to sunset. Park restrictions are listed online including special reservations.

Offers an early intervention program model that offers opportunities for individual learning within a natural group environment through the implementation of the Early Start Denver Model (ESDM) practices for children 18 months to 3 years with autism or at-risk for autism. Uses ESDM practices of daily routines and play-based activities to facilitate developmental sequences in young children with autism or at risk for autism similar to their typically developing peers. Aims to help minimize the developmental delays associated with early autism and increases young children’s developmental growth in the cognitive, social-emotional, communication, fine, and gross motor developmental areas. Service is provided in a classroom based environment and meets 5 days per week from 8:30am-12:00pm.
