If a longer stay is needed, the youth would likely be placed in a foster home for shelter. SAFE Place is not a long-term shelter.

Callers of all ages are able to talk about coming-out issues, relationship concerns, HIV/AIDS anxiety, safer-sex information and many other topics. Also has a separate Youth Talkline manned by volunteers who are in their teens and early twenties that speak with other teens and young adults up to the age of 25 about LGBTQIA+ issues and concerns.
